Detail
`September 28th this year marks the 15th anniversary of recapture of Korea capital city, Seoul, from the develish hands of Communist forces which dared unlawful invasion into south in 1950. On this day, the citizens of Seoul were rescued to freedom from their 90 days ordeal under the Communist rule and the Korean national flag was hoisted high in the air the capital building by the Republic of Korea marines.
To recapture Seoul and destroy the spirits of the invading forces, the historic Inchon landing operation was boldly launched by the United Nations forces. This was the all-out war efforts of the United Nations to recover from then unfavorable war situation and 216 battleships with 75,000 United States landing forces including those of Korea participated in this great landing operation.
The capital of Korea today, recovering from the war wound and with its yet lingering memory of joy and sorrow, is rapidly progressing towards the development of the national strength. What we have today are the fruits of the collective efforts of the free world and owe to those who sacrificed their lives and blood for the world peace and freedom.`
