`For the convenience of mail service users, the Ministry of Communications will issue three new stamps with designs featuring antique artistic works. A 13 Won stamp is depiting a National Treasure, a Lion-carved celadon porcelain incense burner, which dates bact to the Koryo era. This incense burner comprises a burner body and its lid. On the bulgy disc-like lid is mounted a carved-lion, designed so as to belch out smoke from its hollow mouth. This 11-12th century`s work represents an exquisite and graceful style and is now preserved at the National Museum as a valuable treasure. A 60 Won stamp is showing a lotus and Arabesque scroll-ornamented celadon porcelain vase, a work of Koryo era and one of the National Treasures. The Vase, consisting of container body and its pad in separable parts, has a dual walls. The outer wall is decorated with Arabesque scrolls while the pad is ornamented in numerous pices of lotus floral patteras in high relief. The beautiful and exouisite designs especially set, off the magnificence and splendor of the vase. This is a work of about 12th century and is now preserved at the Art Gallery of Ducksoo Palace in Seoul. A 80 Won stamp is showing the Unjin Miluk (Buddha stone image), No.846 National Treasure, standing in the premise of Kwanchok Buddhist temple, in a central province of Korea. It is said that Heimyong, a great Buddhist monk of Koryo dynasty, had completed the work by a royal order, over a long period of 37 years and with the help of 100 artisans. This stone image, made up in three layers of granite and crowned by a double dome stands 19.5 meter high and girts 9 meters long. It is a real wonder of workmanship on large stone.`
